University and Berkeley College in New York offer degree courses
in a range of modern business and technology disciplines which
will give you a real edge in your chosen career. If you currently
lack sufficient language proficiency, our unique program enables
you to secure enrolment at either of these institutions. At the
same time you will study on campus to gain the English proficiency
needed to ensure success at degree-level study.
Assured
Pathways to Excellent Universities
With the Assured University Pathways Program you can choose to
study at three excellent campuses, on either the West or East
Coast of America. DeVry University in Los Angeles or Seattle,
and Berkeley College in New York offer a wide range of practical
and relevant degree courses at both Bachelors and Masters level.
Entry
with just TOEFL 400
With an entry requirement of just TOEFL 400, the course allows
you to begin your academic path to a career-focused degree at
the beginning of your studies. Whilst improving your English,
at DeVry University you can also take some carefully selected
university credit courses which, together with a year-round study
schedule, enable you to fast track your degree. As soon as you
reach TOEFL 500 or equivalent, you’ll study only degree credit
courses.

I-20
A major advantage of the Assured Pathway program to these institutions
is that if you satisfy the academic entry requirements but do
not yet have the English you need, you can still leave home with
a firm Offer of Acceptance and an I-20 provided by the university.
Having already satisfied the academic requirements, your place
on the degree course is assured as long as you maintain successful
progression in the Embassy CES Assured University Pathway program.
Multiple
Start Dates, Flexible Schedules, Fast Track Options
Four to six start dates per year mean you have the flexibility
to begin your studies at a time which suits you. The year-round
schedules at both DeVry University and Berkeley College also enable
you to complete your degree at the right pace for your own ability
and motivation. If you want an accelerated study schedule, the
year-round academic calendar and one-to-one lesson options mean
you could achieve your Bachelor degrees within just three years.
Your
Progress
TOEFL 400-450
At this level, you will study a General English and English for
Academic Purposes course of 20 lessons per week. Study will focus
on general fluency, grammar and writing skills, and one academic
subject.
TOEFL
450
When you reach this level you will progress to the Advanced English
for Academic Purposes modules and will take a smaller number of
English units and a greater load of credit courses.With a strong
focus on success at academic studies, you will undertake an Institutional
TOEFL and improve your ability to communicate, record and absorb
information within an academic context.
TOEFL
500
When you reach TOEFL 500, you can progress on to full-time degree
studies.
