Ripon
College

Situated on 250 beautiful acres and noted for its magnificent
historic buildings, Ripon College offers an intensely personal
undergraduate education. Indeed, according to the prestigious
Fiske Guide to Colleges, "Ripon students delight in their
small classes. Students and professors are regularly on a first
name basis and critiques of the academic advising range from
superb to just plain excellent. Students agree that the school's
smallness is its best quality." The close attention of
faculty members leads to impressive graduate results. Of the
162 small private colleges in the country with fewer than 10,000
alumni, Ripon ranks fourth in the number of students who earn
Ph.D.'s. Famous alumni include Hollywood icons Spencer Tracy
and Harrison Ford.
