Embassy Diploma of English
3 term Academic Year

The three-term (nine-month) Embassy Diploma is a comprehensive language qualification which can help you achieve your university place. During an academic year abroad, focused language teaching and academic elective subjects will ensure you gain the skills you need for your degree course.

Guaranteed Progression to University
When you successfully complete your Diploma, your pathway to university is assured. So long as you’ve graduated high school in your home country, you are guaranteed a university place at one of the ICEA partner universities or colleges listed in this brochure. The higher your pass grade, the wider your choice of institutions becomes. A University Placement Counselor will analyze your long-term study goals and identify the best university options for you, based on your academic achievements, your progress in English, as well as the university’s entry requirements, degree disciplines, location and price.

Your Pathway to Exam Success
You will gain internationally recognized qualifications which will be accepted by your chosen university and by employers around the world. On successful completion you will gain the Diploma of English for University and Further Education.

Modern Learning, Clear Progress
Your progress will be carefully monitored through a series of termly assignments and oral and written exams. Personal study planning interviews and lessons, in addition to research in the computer laboratory will make sure you are on track. On completion, you will receive a full written Academic Assessment and Report, in addition to the Diploma of English for University and Further Education.

Certificate of English
20 or 28 lessons per week

If you are almost at the required standard of English to enter your college or university of choice or you require a “refresher” course, a shorter Certificate program may best suit your needs. These courses also provide maximum flexibility, with courses starting every Monday.

The Certificate of English will develop all the key areas you need for greater fluency – essential grammar, pronunciation, colloquial language, idioms and vocabulary. There is a special focus on the integration of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

When you first arrive, we will test your level of English and place you in a class best suited to your ability. You will benefit from the very best study environment featuring well-equipped, self-study learning centers. Using either a course book or Student Materials Pack, as well as additional multimedia and reallife material, you will make rapid progress.We will regularly monitor your development to make sure you are on track.
