Community Colleges in Washington State


Bring your skis or snowboard to the slopes of the Cascade Range, known as the "Switzerland of North America." Explore the San Juan Islands, Mt. St. Helen’s National Volcanic Monument, which last erupted in 1980, or the Rocky Mountains. If wildlife interests you, keep an eye out for bald eagles, Roosevelt elk and gray whales or watch salmon travel the Columbia River on their annual migration. Green River Community College
Green River Community College is located in Auburn,Washington, a city of 35,000 people. Auburn's location provides access to a wide variety of outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, boating, and other water sports. The Auburn area is also graced with 26 parks, three 18-hole golf courses, and a system of trails for jogging, horseback riding, bicycling and roller blading. Students live in a beautiful location, 35 minutes from Seattle and 25 minutes from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Seattle Central Community College

Career and Professional counseling is available to help students identify their personal and professional areas for further development. Year 12 students are welcome with or without a high school diploma. Year 11 students can complete their Year 12 high school and first year of community college simultaneously, right on campus!
